Limelight took home top honours at this year's DesignEdge Regional Design Awards in Toronto.

We were awarded with the Best of Region prize for our Fare Share Food Bank identity, designed by Art Director Luke Despatie.

Other Limelight work shortlisted in this nationwide awards competition included Fare Share marketing and promotional applications in the "Identity Appllications" category, and our "Year of the Tiger" illustrated calendar poster in the Miscellaneous category.

All in all, a great night for Limelight!

Limelight has been working with Northumberland Fare Share since the fall of 2009 to help give this much-loved community organization a recognizable and prominent brand identity. We’ve also provided them with some marketing tools to help them promote what they do and to seek help from the community.

The Fare Share Food Bank serves the Port Hope and Cobourg areas, collecting and distributing food and other necessities to individuals and families in need. Their team of volunteers works year-round to make sure their neighbours don't go hungry.

We were pleased to be able to help Fare Share — not just by providing them with a new identity and related promotional materials (ads, business cards, website), but by putting a call out on their behalf for sponsorship and donations.

Molson Canadian has a brand-new look for 2010.

The new brand identity was developed by New York ad agency Spring Design Partners. Amongst other changes, the agency did away with the "faux-italic" typeface and the (ahem) "leaf-sweat" — ultimately giving the identity a fresher, more contemporary feel.

Limelight wins at Regional Design Awards by Copywriter

Limelight took home top honours at the 2010 DesignEdge Regional Design Awards.

At the June 21 ceremony in Toronto, 58 winners were chosen from among 142 finalists in 13 categories — including 8 "Best of Region" awards.
