This fall, in addition to the usual class curriculum of reading, writing and ‘rithmetic, there’s another important subject that will require student education: the H1N1 flu virus.
In Northumberland County, the “Pesky Germs” poster is one helpful tool many organizations and institutions will be using to spread the word.

Created by Limelight Advertising & Design in partnership with Dr. Mark Azzopardi, the Port Hope Community Health Centre (CHC) and the Haliburton-Kawartha Pine Ridge Health Unit (HKPR), the colourful poster is eye-catching, fun and informative.
The poster is aimed primarily at educating school-aged children about the flu virus, but will teach people of all ages how to guard against spreading the infection.
Health officials have predicted a spike in the spread of the H1N1 virus once schools reopen this year, making student education all the more important in the coming weeks.
